Antiquarian Bakhtiari Janiserry Multi
The Bakhtiari design draws inspiration from the rich traditions of the Bakhtiari people, who reside in the rugged mountainous regions of Khuzistan and Isfahan in Iran. The design features a striking floral diamond pattern framed in feather-like shapes, reflecting the intricate artistry and craftsmanship that define the Bakhtiari style. This design, originally sourced from the Muskabad archives of Louis De Poortere, has been given a modern “distressed treatment,” adding depth and character to its classic beauty. The result is a rug that honors its historical roots while seamlessly fitting into contemporary interiors, offering both elegance and timeless appeal.
