Ordering & payment

What payment methods can I use?

We accept all major cards, along with a range of interest-free and longer-term finance options at checkout. See finance options for the full list.

Are your prices in NZD, and do they include GST?

All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Your GST treatment is confirmed on your invoice.

Do custom or special orders need a deposit?

Custom and special-order pieces are made or sourced specifically for you, so they may require a deposit. That deposit becomes non-refundable once production or procurement has begun.

Delivery & collection

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across New Zealand — large furniture door to door, and smaller items by courier. Full detail is on our Delivery & Assembly page.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order and your region, so you'll always see the exact cost before you pay.

How long will my order take?

In-stock pieces are dispatched within 3–7 working days, plus transit time. Made-to-order pieces are typically ready within 2–4 weeks.

Can I collect from your showroom?

Yes — click & collect is available from our Ōtāhuhu showroom at 32 Saleyards Road. We'll let you know when your order is ready.

Will you assemble my furniture?

Pieces are delivered ready to enjoy, with any assembly left for you. If you'd prefer us to handle it, assembly is available in Auckland for an additional cost — just ask our team to arrange it at the time of purchase.

Do I need to sign for my delivery?

No signature is needed — our delivery team confirms each delivery with a photograph on arrival. We do ask that you check your piece once it arrives and contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, if anything isn't right.

Returns & refunds

Can I return something if I change my mind?

Change-of-mind returns are offered at our discretion within 14 days, provided the item is unused, in original condition and packaging. A 15% restocking fee applies and return delivery is arranged by you; the balance is refunded to your original payment method. See Returns & Refunds for full detail.

What if my item arrives faulty or damaged?

You're covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act. Contact us as soon as you can — for transit damage, ideally within 48 hours — with your order number and a photo, and we'll repair, replace or refund it. Where the fault is genuine, that's done at our cost.

Can I return a custom order?

Custom and special-order pieces aren't eligible for change-of-mind returns, as they're made specifically for you. Your Consumer Guarantees Act rights still apply in full if the finished piece is faulty.

Warranty & care

What warranty comes with MODA furniture?

Our NZ-made sofas & seating carry a 10-year frame, 5-year foam and 12-month fabric warranty; NZ-made mattresses are covered for 10 years. Other and imported ranges are covered by the warranty stated at the time of purchase. Full detail is on our Warranty page.

My cushions have softened — is that covered?

Some softening is normal: foam settles with use, and it's expected for cushions to lose around 15–20% of their initial firmness as they break in. This natural settling isn't a fault. Genuine manufacturing defects are covered within the foam warranty period.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Contact MODA directly with your order number, proof of purchase and a photo of the issue — you deal with us, not the maker. We assess every claim and confirm the right remedy.

How should I care for my furniture?

We've put together simple, material-by-material guides — fabric, leather, timber, mattresses, rugs and more — on our Care Guides page. Good care also keeps your warranty in good standing.
